MEET THE FOUNDER

Not a faceless company — just a guy with a beard who runs his own business too

I'm Ohad, a Berlin-based photographer, musician, and solo founder. I built HermesMadeSimple because I was tired of AI tools that forget my customers and docs written for developers. Now I set up real AI agents for fellow founders — in one afternoon, no tech skills needed.

Questions? We've got answers.

From setup to daily use — everything you need to know before booking your free call.

Do I need any technical skills to use an AI agent?

None at all. That's the whole point of HermesMadeSimple. We do the entire setup together in one afternoon — you don't write a single line of code, configure a single API key, or read a single technical document.

We hear this question a lot from founders who tried setting up AI agents on their own. Tools like OpenClaw (which we compare in detail on our blog) require serious technical knowledge. ChatGPT and Claude are easier but forget your business the next day. We wrote about why every AI agent actually needs a human-led setup in this post. Hermes is the middle path: powerful enough to run real customer conversations, simple enough that a jewelry maker who has never touched JSON can use it after one afternoon.

If you can send a text message, you can use Hermes.

How is Hermes different from ChatGPT or Claude?

This is the most common question we get, and it deserves a real answer — not marketing fluff.

ChatGPT and Claude are conversation tools. They're brilliant at answering a single question, writing copy, or brainstorming ideas. But they have zero long-term memory of your business. Every new chat starts from scratch. They don't know your customers, your pricing, your tone, or that Mrs. Patel always wants her package wrapped in blue tissue paper. (We wrote a whole post about this.)

Hermes is a business AI agent. It remembers everything permanently. It lives on Telegram and WhatsApp — the apps your customers already use. It takes action on its own: checking orders, replying to customers, logging conversations, following up. It's not a chatbot you visit. It's a teammate that stays with your business 24/7.

Curious about the deeper comparison? We tested ChatGPT, Claude Code, Claude Co-Work, and Hermes side by side in this blog post.

What exactly is an AI agent vs a regular chatbot?

A chatbot answers questions. An AI agent remembers, learns, and acts.

When a customer asks a chatbot about pricing, it gives a link and the conversation ends. Tomorrow it starts from zero. When the same customer asks an AI agent, it remembers who they are, checks their order history, replies in your voice, follows up later, and logs everything in your system. We explain the full difference in this introductory post and break it down with a real-world example (a customer named Lisa and a moon pendant) in this detailed comparison. The difference isn't subtle — it's the difference between a tool that sounds helpful and a teammate that actually runs your business.

Most "AI for small business" tools on the market are still just chatbots with better marketing. HermesMadeSimple is a real AI agent built for solo founders who need daily, autonomous help — not another dashboard to check.

Will it work on Telegram and WhatsApp?

Yes — that's where it lives. We set up your AI agent directly inside Telegram and WhatsApp. No separate app to download. No web dashboard to log into. No copy-pasting answers between tabs.

This was a total game-changer for us. We used to have an AI that lived in a browser — we had to open a laptop, log in, paste customer questions, copy responses, and paste them back into the chat. It felt like visiting an employee in another building. (Here's why putting it on our phone changed everything.)

Now the AI is right there in the same chat thread. Customers message, the AI replies in seconds. We check inventory, order status, and customer notes without leaving the conversation. It works while you're walking the dog, cooking dinner, or packing orders in the studio.

What if I already tried OpenClaw or Claude and it didn't work?

You're not alone — and it's not your fault. Those tools are powerful, but they're built for a different audience.

OpenClaw is incredibly capable if you have the technical background to configure it. But most solo founders don't have a weekend to spend setting up memory vectors, tool definitions, and workflow configs — only to have something break and need re-configuring the next day. We tested it extensively and wrote the full comparison here: OpenClaw vs Hermes.

Claude (both Code and Co-Work) is excellent for writing and brainstorming, but it doesn't run your business. It doesn't remember customers across days. It doesn't act on its own. Our side-by-side test is here: Claude Code vs Claude Co-Work vs Hermes.

And if you tried to build your own with n8n or open-source tools and spent months on it — we did that too. Here's that story. Three months of frustration, then one 4-hour session with someone who knew what they were doing.

Ohad Grodzenski

I'm Ohad Grodzenski — a Berlin-based photographer, musician, solo founder, and member of the Superteam DE builder community. I built HermesMadeSimple because every AI tool I tried forgot my customers and asked me to read developer docs.

So I created one that actually remembers your business — and I install it for you in one afternoon. No jargon. No faceless support. Just a real person who knows what it's like to wear every hat.
